Our Purpose:

Through our collaborative efforts we will:
  • Increase the financial knowledge and understanding wealth of low-to-moderate income families and limited income families resulting in an increase of wealth
  • Provide a variety of educational programs and training to improve the lives of participants (i.e. workforce development, career planning, youth programs, etc.)
  • Decrease the amount of vacant lots and abandon properties through repurposing space, homeownership, and community development
  • Maintain current residents during community development by offering affordable housing and pathways to homeownership, entrepreneurship and generational wealth

Vision 2030

By 2030 DCCI envisions the Chicago communities we serve will have a significant decrease in the amount vacant lots and abandoned properties and an increase in the amount of homeownership and wealth of current residents.  We hope to revitalize this area while maintaining current residents and improving the quality of life for these individuals.

We envision ALL individuals from communities we serve in Illinois and Louisiana will increase their net worth, begin to build generational wealth and use the knowledge they have acquired to recommitment to their low-to-moderate income communities and transform them from economical despair to stable.

In order to achieve Vision 2030 we have developed goals and action plans in the following areas:
  1. Finances – Achieve financial sustainability for DCCI through a mixed revenue stream
  2. Programs – Develop high quality education and training programs
  3. Partnerships – Build and sustain strategic partnerships that support the mission of DCCI
  4. Affordable Housing – provide affordable housing options to families that do not qualify for state and federal programs; but are not financial stable to afford quality living
  5. Community Development – Improve the quality of living for residents while developing communities in need through systematic changes

Be the change you want to see in the world.
